Is the coating safe for a drinking water tank?
Ask the mistri which product he will use and check that it is made for drinking water tanks. Do not accept a roof coating inside a tank. The tank must be emptied, cleaned and fully dry first.
Can I go inside the tank or a deep basement pit myself?
No. Closed tanks and deep pits can have bad air, and a person can faint inside. Let trained people do it, with someone watching from outside.
