Water dripping from the bathroom?
Water on the ceiling of the room below, or damp on the walls next to the bathroom, often means the floor or a pipe joint is leaking. A mistri checks the floor, the joints and the drain, and fixes the leak. Where needed, a waterproof layer goes under the tiles.
Estimate after the visit
Tell us where the water shows and share photos. A mistri visits, finds the leak and gives you an estimate before any work.
- Floor, drain and pipe joints checked
- Tile joints cleaned and sealed
- A waterproof layer under new tiles
- Leak tested with water before the floor is closed

Do the tiles have to be broken?
Sometimes. If the water comes from tile joints, cleaning and sealing them may be enough. If it comes from a pipe or from the layer under the floor, some tiles must be lifted. The mistri tells you after he has seen it.
Should I call a plumber or a waterproofing mistri?
If a pipe or tap is leaking, a plumber. If the floor or wall layer lets water through, a waterproofing mistri. If you are not sure, ask a mistri to look at it, and check each mistri's skills on his profile.
Water is near a socket or a geyser. What now?
Keep away from it and do not touch wet switches. Switch off the power for that area at the main board, close the water supply if you can reach the valve safely, and call an electrician. Do not use the geyser until it has been checked.
